One island - two men

Two employees – that’s how many people work at Balluff’s smallest subsidiary. And it is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, in New Zealand.

New Zealand is bigger than you think – the Pacific Island nation stretches more than 1600 kilometers in length. That’s a challenge when Sanjay and Allan, the two employees at Balluff’s smallest subsidiary, are asked to visit a customer. Depending on the customer’s location, a visit can require half a day on the road. The subsidiary was opened in August 2014 in Auckland in the Mount Wellington district, one of the largest industrial areas in New Zealand. And it plays an important role because many major customers from Australia are also active on the island. With Sanjay and Allan, customers have two local contacts on site. Most of the customers of Balluff Ltd. in New Zealand operate primarily in the logistics, food and packaging industries, and the white goods market such as refrigerators or dishwashers. The two employees are supported by Balluff Australia in the areas of management, sales, finance, and technical support. “We see it as a great opportunity to be able to further develop Balluff in New Zealand,” says Allan enthusiastically.
